Bring supported Bosch MD1 and MG1 ECU unlocking into your workshop with the Alientech KESS3 Unlock Module.

Developed specifically for use alongside KESS3, this dedicated hardware kit provides the connections needed to carry out BOOT Unlock procedures on selected protected ECUs. Once the ECU has been successfully unlocked, KESS3 can access the available memory areas for reading, writing and complete backup operations.

This gives professional tuning workshops a practical way to handle compatible ECU unlock and programming work using their existing KESS3 environment.

Supported ECU families

Current compatibility includes:

MD1CS003, MD1CS069, MD1CP007, MD1CS012, MG1CS042, MD1CS004 HW80, MG1CS031, MD1CP006, MD1CS005 and MG1CS002.

These ECUs are used across selected petrol and diesel passenger vehicles, performance cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery, with supported applications primarily covering vehicles manufactured from 2021 onwards.

What can the KESS3 Unlock Module do?

For compatible applications, the module enables the initial BOOT unlocking process required before further ECU programming can take place. Following the unlock, supported KESS3 functions can include ECU memory access, BOOT reading and writing, and full ECU backup.

• Cables for connection to the ECU VFL3 signal or adapter board

KESS3 requirements

The Unlock Module is an accessory for KESS3 and does not operate as a standalone programming tool. A KESS3 with CAR BENCH/BOOT activation is required, together with an active subscription for access to the applicable protocols.

Vehicle and ECU compatibility should always be confirmed against the current Alientech KESS3 protocol list before carrying out the unlock procedure.
